Insurance
At Young Veterinary Partnership we encourage every owner to take out an insurance policy. You never know what is around the corner and when a major medical or surgical problem may arise for your pet.
There are a large number of pet insurance policies to choose from and they vary considerably in the level of cover that they provide and also in the premiums they charge. Understand more about Pet Insurance, what to look for and how it works here.
When choosing a policy to suit you and your pet always check the small print; How much cover is provided, is the maximum benefit per condition or per year, check the excess amount *An excess is the first part of a claim that you have to pay to make a claim and look at the reviews.
It is your responsibility to present our team with a completed claim form or contact your insurance provider to open an online portal, allowing our team to make a direct claim through your insurance company. Our administration staff will print the relevant history and invoices, complete the claim form and pass all information directly to your insurer. Financial responsibility for all services rendered is the responsibility of the owner or person presenting the pet for treatment, this responsibility includes ensuring your claim is processed within a reasonable time frame, normally 1 – 2 weeks.
Insurance claims and queries can be sent to insurance@youngvets.co.uk Please provide your surname and pets name.
Please note there is a charge of £33.38 administration fee for direct insurance claims. If a valid claim form has not been presented at the end of treatment, then payment will be required in full, and upon receipt of a claim form, we will submit it for your insurer to reimburse you directly. When you receive a claim form you are required to complete the policy holders section, and hand it in to our reception team to process.
