Spring Newsletter 2026: Fresh Season, Fresh Pet Care Tips.
Spring has arrived, and with it comes new opportunities to keep your pets happy, healthy, and thriving. Our Spring 2026 Newsletter is here, and it’s packed with expert advice and seasonal guidance to help you stay one step ahead when it comes to your pets health.
As the weather warms up, it’s important to be aware of hidden dangers that could be lurking in your home or local park. This issue highlights common pet toxins such as chocolate, xylitol, sultanas, and permethrin, so you can better protect your furry companions. We also cover the importance of keeping your pet worm-free, as well as how to guard against the rise in Spring parasites.
If you are new to pet ownership, or perhaps you are bringing home a new puppy or kitten soon - Why not brush up on your Pet Poisons Knowledge here, with our free guide.
Remember, NEVER wait until your pet starts to show signs of poisoning - Timing of treatment can be essential for a healthy, full recovery.

You’ll also find a feature on keyhole surgery and how it can benefit your dog VS traditional surgery.
Keyhole surgery is available within our very own Ealing practice, for our own clients and as a self-referral for local dog owners, this allows us to provide continuity of care for your dogs all the way through to the recovery period.
Our Keyhole facilities are available currently for neutering female dogs, removal of retained testicles in male dogs and obtaining certain biopsy samples. Here at Young Vets, we like to provide owners with choice in their pets care and treatment, where appropriate whilst maintaining the highest level of standards and care. These standards are maintained and proven following our recent Practice Standards Scheme assessments and certificates gained from our governing body The RCVS.

This Spring 2026 Newsletter also includes practical tips on caring for senior cats as they age gracefully, don't forget that we have our Senior Feline Wellness Screening available throughout Spring 2026, for cats aged 7 plus. Our wellness screening is designed to help with early detection of some of the common age - related conditions including; Kidney disease, Thyroid disease and Hypertension - which, if left untreated can cause a serious onset of other conditions including vision loss!
Remember, that age in itself is not an illness. If your senior feline has lost a little weight or has stopped jumping up on their favourite sunny ledge, please discuss your concerns with our friendly team for more tailored advice.
Finally, we shine a spotlight on our Pet Healthcare Club — explaining the benefits and why joining could make a real difference to your purse and your pet’s well-being.
Our Pet Healthcare Club's have NO joining fee, they allow you can choose the payment date that suits YOU and our plans are tailored to your pets weight and preferred parasite protection.
We hope you enjoy our latest Pet Care Blog, if you have a question or concern on any of the articles mentioned please do not hesitate to contact our friendly team for more individual advice.
